If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain. (1 Tim. 6:3-5)
My friend Mike Ratliff's blog is one of the blogs I read rather often, and I have been blessed by his ministry. About more than a week ago, Mike posted a blog post entitled How to Detect a False Prophet, in which through the sharing of his recent experience with a heretic by the name of Paul Cohen, he showed forth the character of a false teacher; a false prophet. This is obviously a spiritual attack by the enemy on first his friend and then him, so I decided to leave a note of encouragement, as did many others.
What happened next astononishes and greatly disturbs me. A few days ago, this guy Paul Cohen decided to mass mail a couple of us (Don't ask me how he has gotten our email addresses) in which he basically insults and attacks Mike, and all the commentors who left comments over on his blog. Since there was something like 60+ comments on the blog, the resultant spam mail works to be a rather long diatribe against Mike and those of us who have encouraged him. This is my first time encoutering such judgmental people, and worse still is the fact that they actively go around finding our email addresses and trying to "convince" us of their views. Needless to say, this despicable tactic annoys me greatly. If I am interested in what you have to say, I will go and find you. At the very least, such interaction should be done at the 'offending post', not to spam as many commenters' email in a bid to convince us.
This it seems is the similar tactic they sprung on Mike, who was made the focal point of their attack because he told them to repent, and I guess this post of mine may encounter the same fate, plus my emails to them denouncing their heresies. Fine! I do not mind being in such esteemed company as John Robbins, John Calvin, Tim Challies, John Piper among others. I wonder why they haven't gotten around to denouncing the entire Church from the Apostles onwards, all of whom believe in a literal, eternal hell by the way (which they deny). Anyway, since these fools and morons drag in more and more people by spamming commentors, I have disabled the comments section so that they would not have the 'opportunity' of haressing more of the saints. You may wish to perhaps encourage our brother Mike over at his blog instead.
I would like to briefly show expose their heresy, which can be seen in a page where they have ironically entitled Diabolical Doctrines. Well, I guess it does show forth their diabolical heresies. Point 6 shows their denial of the orthodox doctrine of the Trinity, and it can be further seen that they embrace the heresy of Sabellianism/Modalism, point 8 exposes their denial of the doctrine of Total Depravity; in fact of Original Sin itself, which marks them as Pelagians or Semi-Pelagians. Point 12 shows their cultic nature as they attack the (Visible) Church, the denial of point 13 is so way out I cannot think of a label for it. Point 15 shows their denial of the biblical, orthodox teaching of the doctrine of eternal hellfire. In fact, they believe in some form of universalism. And this is only a glance at their heretical website. Their endless philosophizing and "revelation" from 'god' is so nauseating and it poisons the souls who are taken in by it.
Since these false prophets like to prophesy lies, here is my prophesy against them: Repent of your heresies and your proclamation of your false 'gospel', or you will most defintiely face the wrath of the Lamb! You are hereby cut off from Christ and if you persist in your sins, anathema sit!
