I have been and will be enjoying a blog interaction with Rick Ianniello, from a Vineyard church, on the topic of the Charismata. As a cursory look of his blog will show, coupled with the fact that he is from Vineyard, he is a continualist. And a reformed charismatic to top it off (the more orthodox version of charismatism =P ). Anyway, we started off at his post More on Spirit baptism, and then we have this post Baptism in/of/by/whatever the Holy Spirit, and finally Baptism in the Holy Spirit terminology. I will be eager to see what he has to say.
Anyway, I think I would clarify this issue also: The doctrine of the Second Baptism can be independent of Continualism per se. And that is the approach adopted by the reformed charismatic movement. However, while conceding this fact, I realize also that most non-American Pentecostals/Charismatics, if not all, are the Traditional "First-Wave" and "Second-Wave" charismatics, or the Third-Wave Neo-Apostolic charismatics, and I doubt that Vineyard or Sovereign Grace have many church plants etc out of USA. But even if there are many, they are most definitely not in the majority, and therefore that is why the issue must be addressed.

This is my blog, and in order to facilitate an edifying exchange, I have came up with various blog rules. Please do read them before commenting, as failure to abide by them would make your post liable to being unapproved for publication. Violation of any of the rules three or more times, or at the blog owner's judgment, would make one liable to be banned from posting unless the blog owner (me) is satisfied that such behavior would not occur again.
