Article: Why many of today's evangelical pastors are cult-like
This is a good article by Brannon Howse on the reality of the nature of many of today's church leaders in general, and the gullible sheep who follow them. May God save us from such leaders.
I think what Brannon Howse was trying to point out are the common excuses the defenders of those cult-like pastors parrot out, as if such factors would play even a mitigating role in explaining the quetionable behavior of these pastors. Nothing wrong with these virtues, but these virtues are not an excuse for any pastor being engaged in any immoral and authoritarian conduct of any kind. I.e. even if a pastor has any or all of the qualities (a) to (f), if he commits, for example, financial fraud or adultery, he should not be defended and should be disciplined.
